Originally from Seattle, Mike Shrock graduated from Bob Jones University in 1979 with a bachelor's degree in music education and went on to receive a master's degree in trumpet performance from Boston University. While working on his master's degree, the Lord called Mike to preach. Upon graduation he accepted a youth and music pastorate at a church near Springfield, Massachusetts, and then at Calvary Baptist Church in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. He later served as singles pastor at Bethel Baptist Church in Schaumburg, Illinois. During this time he also completed a master of ministry degree from Northland Baptist Bible College. Prior to launching out on his own as a full time evangelist, Mike was the BJU representative/evangelist for eighteen years in New England states and New York, then in Greenville, SC where now resides. In addition to his preaching, Mike is a talented trumpet player and uses his skill frequently in his ministry. He and his wife, Lori, have one son, Drew. Lori currently is on nursing faculty at Bob Jones University.
